Did you perform the Wiper/Washer System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Set the wiper switch to LO.
  3. Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C201, terminal E2, to ground with a DMM.

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

Go to Step 5

Inspect for a poor connection at connector C201, or for an open in the pigtail to the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C201, terminal E3, to ground with a DMM.

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

Inspect for a poor connection at connector C201, or for an open in the pigtail to the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal D, to ground with a DMM.

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

Repair the open in CKT 113. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal E, to ground with a DMM.

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified value?
