Do the wipers operate at low speed with the wiper switch in HI?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Set the wiper switch to HI.
  3. Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector C201, terminal E4, to ground with a test lamp.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

--

Inspect for a poor connection at connector C201, or for an open in the pigtail to the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Connect the test lamp between the wiper motor connector terminal C and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open in CKT 92. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for a poor connection to the wiper motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
