Removal Procedure
- Use tape or erasable marker to mark position of wiper blade on
rear window.
- Remove the cap from the wiper motor (1)
spindle.
- Remove the nut from the wiper motor (1) spindle.
- Remove the wiper arm.
- Remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm. Refer to

Installation Procedure
- Install the wiper blade onto
the wiper arm. Refer to
Rear Window Wiper Blade Replacement
.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the wiper arm on the wiper motor
spindle while aligning the wiper blade with the mark on the rear window.
- Install the nut onto the wiper motor spindle.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 25 N·m (18.4 lb ft.).
- Install the cap to the wiper motor (1) spindle.
- Remove the mark from the rear window.
- Operate the rear wiper/washer system to check for proper operation.
