Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 164795  Size: MH

    Notice: Do NOT remove the three bolts which hold the pump together.

  3. Remove the oil pump bolts (205-207).

  4. Object Number: 48212  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil pump (200) from the valve body (300).
  6. Inspect the oil pump. Refer to Transmission Fluid Pump Assemble in Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case Unit Repair Manual.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 48212  Size: SH
  1. Install the oil pump (200) to valve body (300).
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 164795  Size: MH
  3. Install the oil pump bolts (205-207).
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the M6 X 1.0 X 20 bolt to 8 N·m (70 lb in).
        • Tighten the M6 X 1.0 X 85 bolt to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
        • Tighten the M6 X 1.0 X 95 bolt to 16 N·m (11 lb ft).
  5. Install the case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement
  6. Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.

    Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.

  7. Reset the TAP values. Refer to Adapt Function .
