Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1223136 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the lower radiator hose and drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  3. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Remove the coolant temperature sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1223137 Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant temperature sensor into the threaded hole (2) in the intake manifold and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the coolant temperature sensor (1).
  3. Connect the lower radiator hose and refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
