Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Warning in the Preface section.

    Warning: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning in the Preface section.

    Warning: Refer to Safety Goggles and Fuel Warning in the Preface section.

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid connector.
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the EVAP canister purge solenoid.
  4. Unclip the EVAP canister purge solenoid from the mounting bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1224217 Size: SH
  1. Clip the EVAP canister purge solenoid to the mounting bracket.
  2. Install the vacuum hoses to the EVAP canister purge solenoid.
  3. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
