Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1620167 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, if equipped with the central door lock system.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Insert Replacement .

    3. Important: In case of the deluxe type, remove the seal trim after removing the door pocket handle bracket.

  3. Remove the water deflector (1). Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the door pocket handle bracket (2).

  5. Remove the screw (2).
  6. Remove the guide piece (1).

    7. Object Number: 1220602 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) from the door lock.

    8. Object Number: 1220604 Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the actuator connector, if equipped with the central door lock system.
  9. Remove the door lock screws (2).
  10. Remove the door lock (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1220604 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear door lock (1) with the screws (2).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 8 N·m (71 in lb).

  2. Connect the actuator connector, if equipped with the central door lock system.

    3. Object Number: 1220602 Size: SH
  3. Connect the outside door handle rod (1) to the door lock.

    4. Object Number: 1220564 Size: SH
  4. Install the guide rail (1) with the screw.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 7 N·m (62 in lb).

  5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Insert Replacement .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable, if equipped with the central door lock system.
