Subject: | Drivers Information Center (DIC) French Language Translation Is Incorrect (Verify DIC Part Number and Reprogram DIC) |
Models: | 2005-2006 Pontiac Grand Prix (Canada Only) |
Some customers may comment that when selecting French language on the Drivers Information Center (DIC) the months of February, August, and December are not spelled correctly. Also, the accent marks on the display may appear as square blocks.
Verify the DIC part number with the Tech 2® Diagnostic Scan Tool and reprogram the DIC using the steps below.
• | If you have P/N 10349986 (3-button base level DIC) or P/N 10349987 (5-button uplevel (DIC)), proceed to Step 4. |
• | If you have a different part number, refer to Driver Information Center (DIC) Inoperative in SI for further diagnosis. |
Important: A new service calibration has been developed to correct this condition.
