Condition

Some customers may comment that the HVAC system blows cold air from the instrument panel vents when using the remote start function. This means they are unable to warm-up the vehicle using remote start.

Cause

The cause of this condition may be due to incorrect programming of the processor chip in the HVAC control module.

Correction

Replace the HVAC control module. Refer to the HVAC Control Assembly Replacement procedure in the HVAC System -- Manual sub-section of the Service Manual (SI Document ID 941134).
