Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Remove the steering wheel inflatable restraint module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.

    3. Object Number: 1228526 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts (1) from the steering wheel cover.
  4. Remove the radio control switch, if required.
  5. Remove the steering wheel cover.

Installation procedure

    Object Number: 1228526 Size: SH
  1. Install the radio control switch.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the steering wheel cover and secure with the bolts (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).

  3. Install the steering wheel inflatable restraint module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  4. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
