The head-up display (HUD) detects that the HUD dimming signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds. The HUD monitors the switch signal circuits in order to perform various functions. The HUD switch contains 3 active low momentary switches and a variable resistor. The HUD detects a switch activation when the signal circuit is active.
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B3634 Head Up Display (HUD) Dimming Switch Circuit
The ignition is ON.
The HUD detects that the HUD dimming signal circuit is low for greater than 60 seconds.
The HUD ignores the malfunctioning switch circuit.
• | The current DTC clears when fault is no longer present but all history codes remain. |
• | The HUD receives a clear code command from the scan tool. |
