Service VME - Wheel Weights Used on N85 Aluminum Wheels - balance information vibration

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

The 2004 Grand Prix equipped with either the 17 inch, painted or chrome finished N85 wheels have a semi-flangeless wheel design. These wheels use a LH series coated wheel weight. This is a new type of wheel weight design for Pontiac and is the one used as original equipment from the assembly plant. If a dealership cannot find this type of weight, they can contact 1-800-GMTools and select option 2 for assistance with Dealer Supplies. Currently GM-SPO does not have this series of wheel weight in stock but is in the process of obtaining those.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
