Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 373046  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Notice: Refer to Catalytic Converter Movement Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Support the exhaust system.
  4. Remove the exhaust hanger insulator from the exhaust hanger bracket.
  5. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket bolt.
  6. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket.

  8. Remove the exhaust pipe rear hanger insulators from the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket.

  9. Object Number: 194726  Size: SH
  10. Loosen the outboard rear bumper impact bar bolt.
  11. Remove the inboard rear bumper impact bar bolt.
  12. Remove the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 194726  Size: SH
  1. Install the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the inboard and the outboard rear bumper impact bar bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the exhaust pipe rear hanger insulators to the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket.

  6. Object Number: 373046  Size: SH
  7. Install the exhaust hanger bracket.
  8. Install the exhaust hanger bracket bolt.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Remove the support from the exhaust system.
  11. Inspect the exhaust system for underbody contact.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
