Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
  2. Remove the trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  3. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.
  4. Remove the theft deterrent module wiring harness from the steering column harness.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    6. Object Number: 324877 Size: SH
  6. Pull the theft deterrent module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 324877 Size: SH
  1. Push the theft deterrent module (2), onto the lock cylinder housing (1) .
  2. Install the theft deterrent wiring harness to the steering column harness.
  3. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.
  5. Replace the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
  7. Program the new theft control module. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components
