Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 310416  Size: SH
  1. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to carefully release the retainer from the base of the recliner handle.
  2. Remove the recliner handle.
  3. Remove the screws from the front seat trim panel.
  4. Pull the front seat trim panel away from the seat cushion frame in order to release the clips.
  5. Discard the clips.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  7. Remove the front seat trim panel from the front seat.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front seat trim panel to the front seat.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  3. Install the front seat trim panel to the front seat cushion frame, using new clips.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screws to the front seat trim panel.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat trim panel screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  7. Install the retainer to the base of the recliner handle.
  8. Install the recliner handle.
