Removal Procedure

UP/Down or In/Out Adjustment


    Object Number: 294482  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the two 13 mm front door side hinge bolts. Do not remove the bolts.
  2. Adjust the front door up or down by repositioning the front door as needed.
  3. Adjust the front door in or out by repositioning the front door as needed.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 294482  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Tighten the two 13 mm front door side hinge bolts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the front door side bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  3. Inspect the door for proper operation.

Removal Procedure

Fore/Aft Adjustment

  1. Remove the front fender insulator in order to gain access to the body side hinge bolts. Refer to in Front Fender Insulator Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Loosen the 2 13 mm body side hinge bolts (2). Do not remove the bolts .
  3. Loosen one 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (3). Do not remove the bolt.
  4. Loosen one TORX® body side hinge bolt (1). Do not remove the bolt.
  5. Adjust the door for and aft by repositioning the door as needed.

  1. Tighten 1 TORX® body side hinge bolt (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt TORX® head body side hinge to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Tighten one 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the cone adjuster body side hinge bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Tighten two 13 mm body side hinge bolts (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the body side hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  7. Install the front fender insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement in Body Front End.
