Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front bumper
fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
.
- Remove the front bumper energy absorber. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement
.
- Remove the wiring harness from the rear of the front bumper impact
bar.
- Remove the horn bracket and set aside. Refer to
Horn Replacement
in Horns.
- Remove the bolts from the front bumper impact bar.
- Remove the front bumper impact bar from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Align the front bumper
impact bar to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts
to the front bumper impact bar at the body.
Tighten
Tighten the front bumper impact bar to body bolts to 25 N·m
(18 lb ft).
- Install the wiring harness to the rear of the front bumper impact
bar.
- Install the horn bracket. Refer to
Horn Replacement
in Horns.
- Install the front bumper energy absorber to the front bumper impact
bar. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement
.
- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
.
