Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  2. Object Number: 410416  Size: SH
  3. Remove the screws from the HVAC control module.

  4. Object Number: 410422  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the HVAC control module.
  6. Disconnect the vacuum connectors from the HVAC control vacuum valve.
  7. Remove the HVAC control module from the instrument panel.
  8. Remove the vacuum valve from the HVAC control module.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the vacuum vale to the HVAC control module.

  2. Object Number: 410422  Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
  4. Connect the vacuum connectors to the HVAC control vacuum valve.

  5. Object Number: 410416  Size: SH
  6. Install the HVAC control module to the instrument panel.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the screws to the HVAC control module.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the HVAC control module screw to 2 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
