Subject: | Headlamp(s) Appear to Vibrate or Flicker (Adjust Mounting Tab Tension) |
Models: | 2000-2001 Pontiac Grand Prix |
Some owners may comment that the headlamps appear to be vibrating or flickering when in use.
This condition may be due to insufficient tension between the outboard metal mounting tab on the radiator core support and the plastic mounting tab on the headlamp bracket.
Increase the tension between the outboard metal mounting tab (1) on the radiator core support and the plastic mounting tab on the headlamp bracket using the following procedure:
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m(53 lb in).
Important: It is not necessary to aim the headlamp(s) after performing this procedure.
