The power steering hoses are grounding out.

Ensure that the power steering hoses are routed properly.

The power steering gear bearing preload is misadjusted.

Adjust the power steering gear bearing preload to specification. Refer to Steering Gear Rack Bearing Preload Adjustment - Off Vehicle .

The steering gear is loose.

Tighten the steering gear bolts to specification. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications or Steering Gear Replacement .

The tie rod end(s) are loose.

Repair or replace the tie rod ends as necessary. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement

The intermediate steering shaft is loose.

Repair or replace the intermediate steering shaft as necessary. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.
