Removal Procedure
- Unfasten the J-retainers on both side of the seat cushion cover.
- Slide the cushion cover up in order to expose the recliner to
seat back attachment.
- Disconnect the electric lumbar connection if equipped with power
lumbar.
- Remove the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
- Remove the roll pins from the recliner to seat back. Discard the
roll pins.
- Remove the seat back from the seat cushion.
- Remove the front seat back cover. Refer to

- Remove the front seat back pad. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement
.
- Separate the front seat
back frame from the seat back pad.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front seat
back frame to the seat back pad.
- Install the front seat back pad. Refer to
Front Seat Back Cushion Pad Replacement
.
- Install the roll pins to the recliner to the seat back. Use new
roll pins.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts to 24 N·m
(18 lb ft).
- Connect the electric lumbar connection if equipped
with power lumbar.
- Slide the cushion cover down and fasten the J-retainers.
- Install the front seat back cover. Refer to
