Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement Coupe

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


    Object Number: 319868  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement
  4. Remove the quarter lower trim by disengaging the push-in retainers using J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 319868  Size: SH
  1. Install the quarter lower trim by engaging the push-in retainers.
  2. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement
  3. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  4. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the screws on the carpet retainer leg of the center pillar lower trim.

  4. Object Number: 319871  Size: SH
  5. Remove the quarter lower trim by disengaging the push-in retainers using J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 319871  Size: SH
  1. Install the quarter lower trim by engaging the push-in retainers.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screws on the carpet retainer leg of the center pillar lower trim.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the carpet retainer screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
