Go to Diagnostic System Check - Body Control System in Body Control System

1. Remove the key from the ignition key lock cylinder.
2. Close all the vehicle doors.
3. Press LOCK and then press UNLOCK on the driver's door lock switch while observing the door locks.
4. Press LOCK and then press UNLOCK on the passenger door lock switch while observing the door locks.

Do all the doors lock and unlock when using either door lock switch?

Go to Automatic Door Locks System Check in Doors

1. Turn the IP dimmer switch to the OFF position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the MALL PGM Fuse.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.

•	The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type installed on the vehicle (1 - 4 chimes).

•	The BCM has now entered the feature customization mode.

5. Press and release the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter to change the remote unlock control mode.

•	The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the remote unlock control mode.

•	A transition past mode 2 repeats the sequence starting with mode 1.

6. Set the remote unlock control to mode 2.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
8. Reinstall the MALL PGM Fuse.
9. Press the UNLOCK button once on the keyless entry transmitter while observing the door locks.
10. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter again within 5 seconds while observing the door locks.

In the remote unlock control mode 2 (enabled), the driver's door unlocks when pressing UNLOCK once on the keyless entry transmitter. Pressing UNLOCK again within 5 seconds will unlock all the doors.

Does the remote unlock the control mode 2 function as described above?

Go to Step 6

1. Turn the IP dimmer switch to the OFF position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the MALL PGM Fuse.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.

•	The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type installed on the vehicle (3 or 4 chimes). Refer to Keyless Entry System Circuit Description .

•	The BCM has now entered the feature customization mode.

5. Press and release the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter to change the remote unlock control mode.

•	The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the remote unlock control mode.

•	A transition past mode 2 repeats the sequence starting with mode 1.

6. Set the remote unlock control to mode 1.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
8. Reinstall the MALL PGM Fuse.
9. Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter while observing the door locks.

Pressing the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter causes all doors to unlock in the remote unlock control mode 1.

Does the remote unlock the control mode 1 function as described above?

Replace the Body Control Module (BCM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Reinstall the connectors/components removed.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position for 6  seconds.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
5. Remove the MALL PGM Fuse.
6. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position. The BCM sounds the chime a number of times equivalent to the BCM type installed on the vehicle.
7. Turn the ignition switch from the ACC position to the OFF position and back to the ACC position within 1 second. The BCM sounds any DTCs stored.

Are there any BCM DTCs present?
