Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 311659  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) compartment hinge screws.
  2. Open the IP compartment.

  3. Object Number: 311660  Size: SH
  4. Press inward on both sides of the IP compartment housing and rotate down and out in order to remove the housing from the IP.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 311660  Size: SH
  1. Align the instrument panel (IP) compartment housing with the IP.
  2. Press inward on both sides of the IP compartment housing and rotate upward and inward in order to install the housing into the IP.

  3. Object Number: 311659  Size: SH
  4. Hand tighten the IP compartment hinge screws.
  5. Align the IP compartment housing in the IP in order to ensure the proper fit.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the IP compartment hinge screws.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the IP compartment hinge screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Close the IP compartment.
