Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 161115  Size: SH
  1. Remove the electrical connector at EGR valve.
  2. Remove the Transaxle indicator tube retainer nut on the EGR valve stud, and lower retainer bolt.
  3. Lift the Transaxle indicator tube enough to clear the EGR valve stud.
  4. Remove the EGR Valve retaining bolts.
  5. Remove EGR valve assembly.
  6. Remove the gasket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 16266  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the linear EGR valve assembly - two nuts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 30 N·m  (22 lb ft).

  3. Connect the EGR electrical connector.
