Removal Procedure
- Remove the adjuster track covers. Refer to
Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement
.
- Operate the seat in full forward to the mid-position and full-up
position.
- Remove the front seat
retractor side belt anchor nut.
- Remove the front seat retractor side belt from the front seat.
- Remove the two seat adjuster to floor pan bolts at rear of seat.
- Disconnect the power seat electrical connector, if equipped.
- For the driver side only, disconnect the seat belt reminder electrical
connector.
- Disengage the front two seat adjuster hooks holding the seat to
the floor pan.
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front seat
in the vehicle.
- Engage the front hook attachments.
- For the driver side only, connect the seat belt reminder electrical
connector.
- Connect the power seat electrical connector, if equipped.
- Operate the seat in full forward to the mid-position and full-up
position.
- Install the front seat retractor side belt to the front seat.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
seat retractor side belt anchor nut.
Tighten
Tighten the front seat retractor side belt anchor nut to 42 N·m
(31 lb ft).
- Install the seat adjuster to floor pan bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the adjuster to floor pan bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
- Install the adjuster track covers. Refer to
Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement
.
- For seats equipped with six-way power adjusters, cycle the seat.
Verify that the left and right adjusters operate correctly and are synchronized.
