Heater Outlet Hose Replacement L61
Tools Required

Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
Use the
J 38185
to release tension from the outlet heater hose clamp at the engine port.
Disconnect the outlet heater hose (2) from the engine port.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the outlet heater hose clamp from the heater core.
Disconnect the outlet heater hose (1) from the heater core.
Remove the outlet heater hose.
Installation Procedure
Install the outlet heater hose.
Connect the outlet heater hose (1) inlet to the heater core.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the outlet heater hose clamp onto the heater core.
Connect the outlet heater hose (2) to the engine.
Release tension on the outlet heater hose clamp.
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.

Removal Procedure
Drain the engine coolant. Refer to

in Engine Cooling.
Use the
J 38185
in order to reposition the outlet heater hose clamp from the quick-connect fitting.
Disconnect the outlet heater hose (2) from the quick-connect fitting.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the outlet heater hose clamp from the heater core.
Disconnect the outlet heater hose from the heater core.
Remove the outlet heater hose.
Installation Procedure
Install the outlet heater hose.
Connect the outlet heater hose to the heater core.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the outlet heater hose clamp onto the heater core.
Connect the outlet heater hose (2) to the quick-connect fitting.
Use the
J 38185
to reposition the outlet heater hose clamp onto the quick-connect fitting.
Fill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
in Engine Cooling.
