The Body Control Module (BCM) is connected to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver by the keyless entry serial data circuit. This circuit is the link for communication between the two modules. The BCM checks each message received from the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver for validity (Parity).
The DTC can run at any time.
The Body Control Module (BCM) detects an invalid message.
The BCM stores DTC B2806 in memory.
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present and the scan tool Clear DTCs function is used. |
• | The BCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. |
• | Thoroughly inspect the wiring and the connectors. An incomplete inspection of the wiring and the connectors may result in a misdiagnosis, causing a part replacement with a reappearance of the malfunction. |
• | If an intermittent malfunction exists, refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems. |
