The Body Control Module (BCM) is connected to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver by the keyless entry serial data circuit. This circuit is the link for communication between the two modules.
The BCM is in the transmitter program mode.
The BCM does not receive an acknowledgment message from the remote control door lock receiver after sending a Programming Mode/Diagnostic Mode request.
The BCM stores DTC B2805 in memory.
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present and the scan tool Clear DTCs function is used. |
• | The BCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. |
• | Thoroughly inspect the wiring and the connectors. An incomplete inspection of the wiring and the connectors may result in a misdiagnosis, causing a part replacement with a reappearance of the malfunction. |
• | If an intermittent malfunction exists, refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems. |
The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.

Important: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the Remote Control Door Lock receiver must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter Replace the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement . Did you complete the replacement? | -- | Go to Step 10 | -- |
