'LOW COOLANT' WARNING LIGHT CHECK DIC MODULE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985 Pontiac Grand Am ---------------------

CONDITION:

---------- Driver Information Centre flashes a 'low coolant' warning. However, a visual check of the coolant level shows that it is not low.

CAUSE:

------ Electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused the DIC to interpret a stray signal as a low coolant.

CORRECTION:

----------- Replace DIC module P.N. 25076572 with module 25072474. All VIN's prior to FC736995 way be affected. (Any DIC's that were replaced in service and do not indicate a 'low coolant' warning need not be changed).
