CANADA ONLY: AIR CLEANER FOR COLD DRIVEABILITY

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 'N' and 'X' Series

A new air cleaner assembly (P/N 25095323) for the 2.5L (RPO L68) NM5 'N' car is available for Canada only. A similar air cleaner assembly (P/N 25095101) for Canada only is currently being installed on the 2.5L (RPO LR8) NM5 'X' car. Both these air cleaner assemblies incorporate a TVS-EGR cold over-ride system which makes them unique from the Federal assemblies.

The unique air cleaner assemblies were released for Canada in an effort to assist cold driveability after an initial cold start in temperatures below 0 DEG C (32 DEG F). The TVS-ECR cold over-ride system prevents EGR until a temperature of 16 DEG C (60 DEG F) at the TVS is realized.

It should be noted that for driveability, proper installation of the hot air tube is important to ensure proper operation of the TVS-ECR cold over-ride system.
