TOOLS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED TO REMOVE THE ROCKER ARM COVER FROM 2.5L L4 ENGINES WITHOUT DAMAGE. THE AVAILABLE TOOL IS KENT MOORE J-34144-A. TO USE THESE TOOLS, REMOVE THE PCV HOSES AND GROMMETS FROM THE ROCKER ARM COVER AND INSERT A TOOL INTO A PCV OPENING AS SHOWN IN THE ILLUSTRATION. TURN THE TOOL 90 DEGREES TO PLACE THE LIPS UNDER THE BOTTOM OF THE BAFFLE, THEN SLIDE THE TOOL TO THE RIGHT SIDE, OR REAR OF THE ENGINE, PLACING THE END OF THE SCREW OVER A CYLINDER HEAD BOLT. TURN THE SCREW HANDLE TO EXTEND THE SCREW FROM THE TOOL UNTIL SNUG. REPEAT THIS PROCEDURE WITH THE SECOND TOOL. TURN BOTH SCREW HANDLES SIMULTANEOUSLY UNTIL THE COVER BREAKS LOOSE. REMOVE THE TOOLS FROM THE COVER BY TURNING EACH 90 DEGREES TO DISENGAGE THE LIPS FROM THE BAFFLE AND TAKE THE TOOLS OUT OF THE PCV OPENINGS. USE APPLICABLE LABOR TIME AND OPERATION NUMBER.
