AN ENGINE IDLE SHAKE ON SOME EARLY 3.0L MFI V6 ENGINE EQUIPPED CARS MAY OCCUR. IF THE CONDITION CHANGES BY TURNING THE AIR CONDITIONER OFF; A NEW AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR REAR MOUNTING BRACKET SHOULD BE INSTALLED. THE NEW BRACKET, P/N 25525547, HAS AN ADDITIONAL BRACKET TO COMPRESSOR ATTACHING POINT. THE ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENT IS INBOARD TO THE ENGINE ON THE BRACKET (SEE FIGURE). MAKE SURE CAR DOES NOT HAVE THE NEW BRACKET BEFORE UTILIZING THIS PROCEDURE. TWO BOLTS, SERVICE PART NUMBER, 14060613, SHOULD BE USED TO ATTACH THE BRACKET TO COMPRESSOR IN BOTH REAR LOCATIONS. TORQUE UPPER BOLT TO ENGINE ON COMPRESSOR AND ENGINE MOUNT BRACKET TO 80-100 N.M (59 -73 LB. FT.). TORQUE REMAINING THREE BOLTS TO 20-34 N.M (15-25 LB. FT.).
