POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKAGE FROM RESERVOIR

1985 GRAND AM

Some 1985 Grand Ams built prior to November of 1984 may exhibit power steering fluid seepage from the reservoir fill cap area. This condition may be repaired by replacing the capstick with a new capstick and baffle. Place the baffle inside the filler neck and install new capstick as shown in illustration.

New capstick and baffle package part numbers are:

V-6 Engine (VIN Code L) - 7849388 4-Cyl. Engine (VIN Code U) - 7849387
