The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
C0551 after EBTCM replacement and the ABS, trac off and brake warning indicators turn on.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The EBTCM must be configured using the Tech 2 after being replaced or C0551 will set current. To configure the EBTCM, select special functions while in the ABS/TCS menu. Then select the transmission that the vehicle is equipped with. Save options and exit back to the start screen on the Tech 2.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
