The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:

Reduced engine power and P2138.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Diagnostic tip: When checking the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1 and sensor 2 data for variance, have the engine running. The fluctuation or variance may not show up with the engine off. If the APP sensor 1 and sensor 2 data do not agree, replaced the APP sensor.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
