Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery, if necessary. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the right front tire and wheel, if necessary. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  3. Object Number: 1276247  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the washer pump assembly (4).
  5. Place a container under the washer solvent container (3), and disconnect the washer hose (1) from the washer pump assembly (4).
  6. Drain the washer solvent from the washer solvent container (3).

  7. Object Number: 1276248  Size: SH
  8. Remove the screws (2) from the washer solvent container (5).
  9. Lower the washer solvent container (5) and slide the filler neck (3) down through the hole in the front wheelhouse panel (1).
  10. Remove the washer pump (4) from the washer solvent container (5).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1276248  Size: SH
  1. Install the washer pump (4) to the washer solvent container (5).
  2. Position the washer solvent filler neck (3) through the wheelhouse panel hole (1).
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the washer solvent container screws (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  6. Connect the washer pump hose (1) to the washer pump (4).
  7. Connect the washer pump electrical connector (2) to the washer pump  (4).
  8. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
  9. Install the right front tire and wheel, if removed. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  10. Install the battery, if removed. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
