Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat back cover and pad assembly. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1363300 Size: SH
  2. Pry the EZ-Entry release lever retaining clip (1) from the release mechanism.
  3. Disconnect the return spring (2) from the release mechanism and seat back frame.

    4. Object Number: 1363305 Size: SH
  4. Remove the seat back rest filler block lock nuts (1), and the filler block (2).
  5. Remove the seat back release lever tie strap mounted to the back of the lumbar support mechanism.

    6. Object Number: 1363313 Size: SH
  6. Remove two lumbar support assembly retainers (1).

    7. Object Number: 1363317 Size: SH
  7. Depress the lumbar support shaft retaining tab (1) from the inner side of the seat back frame.
  8. Rotate the lumbar support shaft (2) and remove from the seat back frame.

  9. Disconnect the 2 lumbar support springs (1).

  10. Remove the lumbar support assembly (1).

    11. Object Number: 1363445 Size: SH
  11. Remove the 2 head restraint retaining screws (1).

    12. Object Number: 1363451 Size: SH
  12. Pull the head restraint (1), downward and remove from the seat back frame.

    13. Object Number: 1363462 Size: SH
  13. Depress the tab (1), on the head restraint frame sleeve (2) and remove from the seat back rest frame.

    14. Object Number: 1363464 Size: SH
  14. Remove the head restraint frame hinge spring (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1363464 Size: SH
  1. Install the head restraint frame hinge spring (1).

    2. Object Number: 1363462 Size: SH
  2. Push the head restraint frame sleeve (2) into the seat back rest frame until the head restraint sleeve tab (1) locks in place.

    3. Object Number: 1363451 Size: SH
  3. Position the head restraint (1), upward and into the seat back frame.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install 2 head restraint retaining screws (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the head restraint retaining screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Position the lumbar support assembly (1).

    6. Object Number: 1363337 Size: SH
  6. Connect the 2 lumbar support springs (1).

    7. Object Number: 1363330 Size: SH
  7. Position the lumbar support shaft in the seat back frame, then rotate the lumbar support shaft (2) until the lumbar support shaft retaining tab (1) locks in place.
  8. Install the seat back release lever tie strap to the back of the lumbar support mechanism.

    9. Object Number: 1363313 Size: SH
  9. Install two lumbar support assembly retainers (1).

    10. Object Number: 1363305 Size: SH
  10. Position the seat back rest filler block (2), then install the seat back filler block lock nuts (1).

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the seat back rest filler block nuts to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).

  11. Connect the return spring (2) to the release mechanism and seat back frame.
  12. Install the EZ-Entry release lever retaining clip (1) to the release mechanism.
  13. Install the seat back cover and pad assembly. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  14. Check the seat mechanical and electrical operation.
