Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.

  3. Object Number: 1353838  Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear seat belt anchor bolt (1).
  5. Remove the upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  6. Object Number: 1353839  Size: SH
  7. Remove the rear seat belt upper guide bolt (4), wave washer (2) and seat belt spacer (1).

  8. Object Number: 1353840  Size: SH
  9. Remove the rear seat belt retractor bolt (2) and remove rear seat belt assembly (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1353840  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat belt retractor (1) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the mounting bolt (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear seat belt upper guide bolt (4), wave washer (2) and seat belt spacer (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt upper guide bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

  5. Install the upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  6. Object Number: 1353838  Size: SH
  7. Install the rear seat belt anchor bolt (1).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt anchor bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

  9. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  10. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
