Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1353802 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt trim cover (3).
  2. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt (2) and seat belt spacer (4).
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  4. Remove the door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the quarter panel trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  7. Remove the front seat belt upper guide bolt (3).

    8. Object Number: 1353822 Size: SH
  8. Remove the intermediate seat belt guide screws (2) and the intermediate seat belt guide (1).

    9. Object Number: 1353826 Size: SH
  9. Remove the front seat belt retractor bolt (3) and the front seat belt retractor (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1353826 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the front seat belt retractor (2) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the bolt (3).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt retractor mounting bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

  2. Install the intermediate seat belt guide (1) to the vehicle. Secure the guide with the screws (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the intermediate seat belt guide screws to 2.1 N·m (18.5 lb in).

  3. Install the front seat belt upper guide (2) to the vehicle. Secure the guide with the bolt (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt upper guide bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

  4. Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the quarter panel trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.

    8. Object Number: 1353802 Size: SH
  8. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt (2) and seat belt spacer (4).

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt lower anchor bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

  9. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt trim cover (3).
