Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1378599  Size: SH
  1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the screws (2) from the floor duct (1).
  3. Remove the floor duct from the HVAC module.
  4. Using a flat blade screw driver gently pry the floor air door lever from the floor air door.
  5. Remove the floor air door locating pivot pin from the HVAC case.
  6. Remove the floor air door from the HVAC module case.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the floor air door to the HVAC module case.
  2. Install the floor air door locating pivot pin to the HVAC case.
  3. Install the floor air door lever to the floor air door.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the floor duct (1) to the HVAC module. Secure with the screws (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
