clips.
- Install a new O-ring (2) onto the receiver dehydrator (6).
Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the evaporator tube (3) to the receiver dehydrator.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
- Install new O-rings (8) to the TXV (10).
Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
- Install the evaporator inlet tube (6) and the compressor tube (4)
to the TXV.
- Install the TXV tube plate (7) and bolt (5).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10.5 N·m (93 lb in).
- Install the PCM bracket. Secure the bracket with the screws.
- Install the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Refer to
Powertrain Control Module Replacement
in Engine Controls -
5.7L.
- Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
- Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A
.
