Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2004 🢒 GTO 🢒 HVAC 🢒 Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning 🢒 Heater Outlet Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1378270 Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  2. Release and reposition the outlet heater hose clamp away from the heater pipe.
  3. Separate the outlet heater hose from the heater pipe.
  4. Release and reposition the outlet heater hose clamp away from the engine coolant pump.
  5. Separate the heater outlet hose (2) from the coolant pump.
  6. Release and reposition the outlet hose clamps from the outlet hose tee (3).
  7. Separate the heater hoses (5,2) from the tee.
  8. Remove the outlet hose clips from the water valve ports.
  9. Separate the heater outlet hoses from the water valve ports.
  10. Remove the outlet heater hoses from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1378270 Size: SH
  1. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the heater outlet pipe end, the water valve and the coolant pump.
  2. Position the outlet heater hoses to the vehicle.
  3. Install the heater outlet hose to the heater pipe.
  4. Install the heater outlet hose clamp.
  5. Install the heater hoses (5,2) to the tee.
  6. Install the outlet hose clamps to the outlet hose tee (3).
  7. Install the heater outlet hose to the engine coolant pump.
  8. Install the heater hose clamp.
  9. Install the heater outlet hoses to the water valve ports.
  10. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
