Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1378270 Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  2. Release and reposition the inlet heater hose clamp away from the heater pipe.
  3. Separate the inlet heater hose from the heater pipe.
  4. Release and reposition the inlet heater hose clamp away from the engine coolant pump.
  5. Separate the heater inlet hose (1) from the coolant pump.
  6. Remove the inlet hose clips from the water valve ports.
  7. Separate the heater inlet hoses from the water valve ports.
  8. Remove the inlet heater hoses from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1378270 Size: SH
  1. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the heater inlet pipe end, the water valve and the coolant pump.
  2. Position the inlet heater hoses to the vehicle.
  3. Install the heater inlet hose to the heater pipe.
  4. Install the heater inlet hose clamp.
  5. Install the heater inlet hose (1) to the engine coolant pump.
  6. Install the heater hose clamp.
  7. Install the heater inlet hoses to the water valve ports.
  8. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
