Removal Procedure
  1. Release the park brake.

    2. Object Number: 1344606 Size: SH
  2. Pull the park brake lever boot to the side.
  3. Remove the park brake cable adjustment nut (1).
  4. Remove the right front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  5. Lift the carpet around the park brake lever.
  6. Remove the 2 bolts (2,3).
  7. Lift the park brake lever assembly up.
  8. Disconnect the park brake switch connector.
  9. Remove the park brake lever assembly from the front park brake cable.

Installation Procedure
  1. Thread the front park brake cable through the park brake lever assembly.
  2. Connect the park brake switch connector.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1344606 Size: SH
  3. Install the park brake lever assembly and the 2 bolts (2,3) to the vehicle.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the carpet to the correct position around the park brake lever.
  5. Install the adjustment nut (1) and adjust the park brake lever travel. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment .
  6. Install the right front bucket seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
