Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV). Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 1356923  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the BPMV motor wiring connector (2) from the electronic brake control module (1) (EBCM).
  4. Remove the wiring from the retainer (3) on the EBCM.

  5. Object Number: 1310268  Size: SH
  6. Remove 6 bolts (1) from the EBCM (2) and remove the EBCM from the BPMV (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the EBCM to the brake pressure modulator valve. Secure with 6 new bolts in sequence shown.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the EBCM bolts to 3 N·m (26.5 lb in).

  3. Install the BPMV wiring to the retainer (3) on the EBCM.
  4. Connect the BPMV motor wiring connector (2) to the electronic brake control module (1) (EBCM).
  5. Install the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV). Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .
