Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2004 🢒 GTO 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 5.7L 🢒 Intake Manifold Removal

    Object Number: 58838 Size: SH

    Important: The intake manifold, throttle body, fuel injection rail, and fuel injectors may be removed as an assembly. If not servicing the individual components, remove the manifold as a complete assembly.

  1. Remove the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, if required.

    2. Object Number: 1387925 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the knock sensor wire harness connector (1) from the fuel rail stop bracket (712).

    3. Object Number: 1272790 Size: SH
  3. Remove the PCV valve pipe (716) from the valley cover and intake manifold.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fuel Rail Stop Bracket Installation Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Remove the intake manifold bolts (713) and fuel rail stop bracket (712).

    5. Object Number: 639607 Size: SH
  5. Remove the engine coolant air bleed clamp and hose from the throttle body.
  6. Remove the intake manifold.

    7. Object Number: 1272799 Size: SH
  7. Remove the intake manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets (514).
  8. Discard the gaskets.

    9. Object Number: 1272618 Size: SH
  9. Remove the throttle cable bracket and bolt from the manifold, if required.
