Removal Procedure

    Note:  When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Support the rear compartment lid with a suitable brace.

    2. Object Number: 1937186 Size: SH
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid latch striker to rear compartment lid retaining torx screws (1).
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid latch striker (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1937186 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear compartment lid latch striker (2) to the rear compartment lid.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear compartment lid latch striker to rear compartment lid retaining torx screws (1) and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  3. Remove the suitable brace from the vehicle.
