Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1961585 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector rail (2).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fuel injector rail to lower intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten fuel injector rail bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1961759 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness (1).

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1961584 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine cover ball studs (1) and tighten to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

    2. Object Number: 1961583 Size: SH
  2. Install the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) flap (1).
  3. Install the IMRC flap to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1961582 Size: SH
  4. Install the NEW throttle body gasket (3) to the intake manifold (4).
  5. Install the throttle body (2).
  6. Install the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1960825 Size: SH

    Note: DO NOT reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

  1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets (1).

    2. Object Number: 1960824 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper intake manifold (1) to the lower intake manifold (2).

    3. Object Number: 1960823 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket to upper intake manifold retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1960822 Size: SH
  4. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
