Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Remove the radiator air upper baffle and deflector (if fitted). Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement

    3. Object Number: 2049913 Size: SH

    Note: The radiator top mounts can be taken off and the radiator lent back to aid in removal.

  3. Remove the left front impact sensor to front end module retaining bolt (1).

    4. Object Number: 2049915 Size: SH
  4. Remove the right front impact sensor to front end module retaining bolt (1).

    5. Object Number: 2049918 Size: SH
  5. Remove the front impact sensors (2) from the front end module (3).
  6. Remove the front impact sensor electrical connections (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2054401 Size: SH
  1. Install the front impact sensor electrical connections (1).

    2. Note: Locating lugs will hold the NEW sensors in place.

  2. Install the NEW front impact sensors (2) to the front end module (3).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2049915 Size: SH
  3. Install the right front impact sensor to front end module retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 2049913 Size: SH

    Note: The radiator top mounts can be taken off and the radiator lent back to aid in installation.

  4. Install the left front impact sensor to front end module retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  5. Install the radiator air upper baffle and deflector (if fitted). Refer to Radiator Air Upper Baffle and Deflector Replacement
  6. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
